This is an invaluable resource for those researching magic history during the nineteenth and early twentieth century. Compiled by Burrows in colaboration with some of the performers listed is describes itself as "Showing at a glance the tricks performed be all the leading conjurers over a period of forty-two years, from 1864 to 1906."
Among many, many, others it includes details of the acts of Herrmann, Keller, Anderson, Hoffmann, Dobler, Maskleyne, Devant, Houdini and Hardeen. Around 70 magicians feature.
An essential part of any magic history library.
This is one of the rarer self-published editions rather than the Davenports edition.
Condition: Poor, back cover is missing, front cover is detached, marks, creases and wear throughout, ex-library with associated sticker, stamps and inscriptions.
