This is one of the most important books on magic theory written. Only 500 of this first edition were printed and many were destroyed by a WWII bomb, making first editions much rarer than second edition (which was a run of 750 after the war). This copy was in The Magic Cirlce's library and was withdrawn from it in 1980.
 
Condition: Fair/good, has inscriptions and stamps to endpapers from its time in The Magic Circle library, boards have some wear, marks and slight fading to spine, some yellowing to pages, occasional marks and creasing.
