Robert-Houdin's memoirs are a heady mix of autobiography and storytelling. Robert-Houdin is widely regarded as the father of modern magic and this book is his telling of how he earned that title. This is the more modern translation of Lascelles Wraxall and is a gripping read.  It contains an introduction from Milbourne Christopher along with many photos and illustrations from Christopher's collection.
