Later Magic was the third of Professor Hoffmann’s most significant books on conjuring. First published in 1903, the text looks at the most important developments in the art since 1890’s More Magic. In these intervening years the popularity of magic had snowballed. Due to this rise, Hoffmann decided that to produce a further work encompassing the whole field of conjuring would no longer be practicable. Despite this, Later Magic was still a hugely ambitious and in-depth study of the art at the turn of the twentieth century.
