This unusual book was written to accompany an exhibition on the history of the games manufacturer J. W. Spear & Sons held at the Nuremberg Toy Museum. It is of particular interest to magic historians, particularly those interested in the manufacture of early magic tricks, jokes and novelties, as it contains potted histories of some of Nuremberg's prominent toy manufacturers, many of whom manufactured items for magic sets. If you collect early magic sets or turned wooden magic items there is a great deal of information in here that simply isn't available anywhere else. A fascinating read.
