This highly unusual magic book combines a charming semi-autobiographical tale with conjuring tricks. This book is very hard to find. This copy is a first edition from 1885 (undated, as standard). It has been covered and bears stamps and paperwork from the library of the Institute of Magicians and was presented to the club library in 1934, the year of it's founding after breaking away from Goldston's Magicians' Club. While the illustrated cover is likely well preserved under these paper wraps, the history of this book is too interesting to warrant removing them. 
 
Condition: Fair, ex-library (see above), worn and marked with splitting endpapers and one blank page removed from end of book. Binding generally sound with a few loose sections.
