This scarce American book by the radio pioneer and fraudster Archie Collins is a particularly interesting example of a magic book aimed at the general public. Its most notable for chapters on mind reading, spiritualistic effects, Black Art illusions and stage illusions, including some of Houdini's secrets (published while he was still performing them).

Condition: Good/fair. Has had some water damage to the tops of boards and pages, inscriptions on front and back endpapers (one stating the book was presented by The Great Benyon, but this is not a Benyon signature), boards and spine have wear and marks, some yellowing to page edges (in addition to the watermarks). Binding loose in a few places but pages still all bound. Title page appears to have been pasted in where the previous title page had been removed (as issued).
