This 1904 edition (along with the 1904 edition of Neil's Modern Card Manipulation which was release simultaneously) was the first of the series of books that became known as "Yellow Perils". It is very rare and has a larger page size than the rest of the series. This was a pioneering book on magic with tricks by T. Nelson Downs, Charles Bertram, Chas. O. Williams and many others. Included superb photographs. Scarce edition of one of the famous (or infamous) "Yellow Peril" series of books from C. Arthur Pearson. Full of great tricks and fascinating magic adverts from the time. Condition: Poor, the spine paper has been lost and the boards and pages are loose. Marks and wear to boards, pages in good condition.
