This is an extremely rare true first edition of 13 Steps, the UK version, published six years earlier than the first US edition. This was published in 1960/1, though is often wrongly listed as 1958 as this is the date on the first title page (the date the first step was published). Arguably the finest book on mentalism produced. In thirteen steps Corinda guides the reader through the primary styles and techniques needed to become an effective mental magician. Section topics include the swami, billets, blindfolds, muscle reading, telepathy, publicity stunts and more. An essential part of any magician's library. 
 
Condition: Fair, the dust jacket has wear, creasing and some tears to the edges, an area of wear to the spine where a sticker has been removed, and another discoloured patch on the spine of the dustjacket. The boards of the book are clean with some knocks to corners, spine is slightly cocked. Library sticker and inscription to front endpaper, yellowing to endpapers. Pages clean and smart with a few minor creases and marks. Very, very, slight "old book smell".
