Worldwide:

Postage costs and options are automatically calculated by weight on the Cart Page.

Occasionally, on unusually heavy or large orders, postage costs vary from the automatic quote given. On these very rare occasions, a manual quote will be given and the purchaser can choose to proceed with the purchase or cancel the order and receive a full refund.

Delivery Times:

Some delivery and dispatch times may be delayed on Royal Mail strike days (which can be found on this page).

​

All orders with untracked postage made before midday on a weekday (excluding bank holidays) will be posted on that day. Orders made after midday will be posted the next working day.

 

Tracked services made before midday are posted the following working day (as these need to be collected from us). Tracked orders made after midday are typically posted the following working day but may be posted the working day after that.

Occasionally we will suspend same day dispatch for a short period, when this happens it will be clearly displayed on the checkout page before you order with the current next dispatch day. 

​

When an order of multiple books includes a pre-order, all books will be sent together on the release date of the pre-order book.

 

After posting, these are the delivery aim times of the services we offer:

UK:

• Royal Mail 1st Class has a delivery aim of 1 working day.

• Royal Mail 2nd Class has a delivery aim of 2-3 working days.

• Royal Mail Signed For 1st Class has a delivery aim of 1 working day (though we cannot dispatch tracked services on the same day, see above).

• Royal Mail Special Delivery Tracked has a delivery aim of 1 working day, with delivery before 1pm (though we cannot dispatch tracked services on the same day, see above).

Worldwide:

• Royal Mail International Standard has a delivery aim of 3-5 working days within the EU and 6-7 working days worldwide.

• Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed has a delivery aim of 4-5 working days within the EU and 7-8 working days worldwide (though we cannot dispatch tracked services on the same day, see above).

• Royal Mail International Economy has a delivery aim of 6 weeks for North America, 8 weeks for South America, Africa and Asia, and 12 weeks for Australia. Though these aims are long, delivery times are usually much shorter.

Customs info for EU and international customers:

By default, we send items "DDU" (Delivered Duties Unpaid) for EU and international orders.

​

This means there may be VAT and/or customs charges applied to your parcel at your country's customs. This will depend on your local laws on importing books. 

​

If your country has charges for importing books we have a workaround which allows you to pay your country's VAT and/or customs charges upfront. This usually ensures no extra costs or delays are applied to your parcel at customs.

 

We do this through Etsy and have to pay their fees for this. As a result, there is a 15% charge on the value of the order (excluding postage) for orders over £25 and a 20% charge for orders under £25. Depending on your country's regulations it may be cheaper to have parcels sent DDU and pay charges at your border, rather than to use this workaround, but these rules vary by each country so we encourage you to research your own country's regulations on importing books. To use this service please follow the steps below:

To pay your country's import taxes prior to shipping, please follow these directions:

Once you have finished adding books to your cart please click the green "Checkout" button on the cart page. You will be shown your cart and your postage options.

​

Select the "Offline Payment" option and proceed to place the order. Please DO NOT select the PayPal option on this page.

​

You will receive an email with a link to purchase your books as an item (or items) on Etsy.com with the 15-20% charge added, here you can pay your country's VAT upfront via their checkout page. This invite may take up to two working days to arrive, though we usually process them much quicker.

 

Please only request this method if you intend to honour the purchase. Individuals who fail to checkout on Etsy having ordered via Offline Payment will have the offer of this service removed on future orders.

If you choose to purchase directly through this site without following the steps above you are accepting that your parcel will be sent DDU and you will be liable for any charges that may be applied at your country's customs.

All books are carefully packaged to ensure they are not damaged in transit.

All packaging materials are recycled, fully recyclable and plastic-free.

Returns:

​

Due to the nature of magic books, and the value in the secrets they hold, returns are only accepted when a book has arrived in a condition differing from the photographs and description on the listing. Regretfully, returns can not be accepted for purchases made in error unless we are notified before the books have been dispatched.
